We are glad to announce the signature of the Black Metal band BORGNE from Switzerland.
BORGNE’s new album “Y” will be out on digipack and double LP on March 6th, 2020. Continuously pushing its own limits for the past two decades, Borgne is a powerful machinery spreading mechanical coldness and producing an industrial energy. Constantly evolving throughout its already released eight albums, this Swiss band has been hammering various stages since 2011, leaving a lasting impression on spectators’ minds. Entwining ethereal melodies and drum machines’ pounding, Borgne will grasp you into abyssal depths.

A few words from Gerald, label manager: “You know how we like to broaden our Black Metal scope, so it was completely natural for us to open to a genre that was not represented in our roster yet: industrial atmospheric Black Metal. I have known Borgne’s leader Bornyhake’s projects for many years now, as well as his hyperactivity on stage (with Cryfemal, Serpens Luminis, Darvaza, Schammasch, Kawir, Deathrow, Enoid and more than 20 others). I discovered Borgne somewhat belatedly, when they released “IV” in 2009. Even if I had previously had the chance to see them on stage, I first met with the band in 2012, during the Black Metal Is Rising 7 festival we had organized in Paris at the Glazart (Borgne, Bethlehem, Acherontas, The Great Old Ones, Nightbringer, Forteresse, Anus Mundi, Blackdeath). Since then, I have been following their career closely, and I offered them to collaborate with us several times. This band has always impressed me with its authenticity, its sincerity, its strong visual and graphical identity, but also with the immense kindness and simplicity of all its members. For Borgne, French singing is as efficient as music at setting up atmospheres. I will let the journalists give their opinion about the album, but to keep it short, I would say that this majestic “Y” stays in line with what the band has previously produced, with the exact same intensity, blackness and integrity. After Sepulchral Productions, Those Opposed Records, Avantgarde Music, it is a true honor and a great opportunity for us to be able to present you Borgne’s new misdeed and to collaborate on two albums. You will note that it is the first time we ever sign a band for more than one album. Long live Borgne!”

Repoussant ses propres limites depuis une vingtaine d’années, Borgne est une machine puissante, produisant une froideur mécanique et développant une énergie industrielle. En constante évolution, cette formation helvétique écrase les scènes depuis 2011, marquant à chaque fois les esprits de son passage. Des mélodies éthérées aux martèlements de la boîte à rythmes, ce vortex sonore vous aspirera dans des profondeurs abyssales.

“Vous savez qu’on aime élargir notre palette Black Metal et quoi de plus naturel que de vous proposer un style encore non représenté dans notre roster : l’Indus Atmospheric Black Metal. Je connais certains projets de Bornyhake, maître à penser du groupe, depuis de nombreuses années, et également son hyperactivité dans la scène (Cryfemal, Serpens Luminis, Darvaza, Schammasch, Kawir, Deathrow, Enoid et une vingtaine d’autres). J’ai découvert Borgne un peu sur le tard puisque mon intérêt pour celui-ci date de 2009, à la sortie de leur album IV. Même si j’avais déjà eu l’occasion de les voir en concert, j’ai rencontré le groupe pour la première fois lors du festival Black Metal Is Rising 7 en 2012, que nous avions organisé au Glazart à Paris (Borgne, Bethlehem, Acherontas, The Great Old Ones, Nightbringer, Forteresse, Anus Mundi, Blackdeath). J’ai toujours suivi de près la carrière du groupe depuis et je leur avais proposé à plusieurs reprises que nous collaborions. C’est un groupe qui m’a toujours marqué par son authenticité, sa sincérité, son aspect visuel et graphique toujours très marqué, mais également par l’extrême sympathie et simplicité de ses membres. Borgne, un groupe à atmosphères où le chant en français tient une part tout aussi importante que la musique dans la mise en place des ambiances. Je laisserai les chroniqueurs donner leurs avis, mais pour faire court, je dirais que ce majestueux « Y » reste dans la lignée de ce que le groupe a fait précédemment, avec toujours la même intensité, noirceur et intégrité. Après Sepulchral Productions, Those Opposed Records, Avantgarde Music, quel honneur et quelle chance de pouvoir vous présenter à notre tour un nouveau méfait de Borgne et les compter dans notre écurie pour deux albums. Vous noterez que c’est la première fois que nous nous engageons sur plusieurs albums. Longue vie à Borgne !”
